Getting started
You arrive at the Moonrise Clubhouse, a terrace over the sea. The first time, the game asks how you'd like to move (Teleport, Walk or Walk slow) and offers a two-minute tutorial on the practice greens. You can skip any step, end it at any time, or replay it later from the menu's Course tab. To play a course, walk up to the Lantern Cove or Neon Shroom Forest portal, choose a round (all 18 holes, the front or back nine, or practice) and press Play.
Controls
The putter is in your putting hand (right by default; switch to left-handed in Settings). Movement is on the other hand.

Common questions
How does "grip to putt" work?
Squeeze and hold the grip button to arm the putter. Only an armed putter hits the ball; with the grip released you can take practice swings. Grip to putt and putter strength are in Settings. If the putter doesn't sit right in your hand, use Fit my putter on the Putter tab.
Walking makes me uncomfortable
Open the menu's Movement tab and choose Teleport, the most comfortable option. You can also keep walking but slow it down, turn on the comfort vignette, use snap turning instead of smooth turning, or use the putting-hand trigger to warp straight to your ball. Take a break whenever you need one.
Can I play sitting down, or left-handed?
Yes. Turn on Seated mode on the Movement tab, and set Handedness to Left in Settings.
How do I play with friends?
Open the menu and go to the Friends tab (or use the friends board in the clubhouse). Choose Host an online game and a short join code appears, also shown on your watch. Your friends choose Join with a code and type it in. Up to four players can play together, and the host picks the course. To play on the same Wi-Fi without internet services, use Host on this network and join with the address the host sees.
Voice chat: friends can't hear me
Voice chat works in online games. The first time voice starts, your headset asks for microphone permission; choose Allow. If you said no, turn it back on in your headset's settings under Privacy & safety → App permissions → Microphone, and allow Moonrise Mini Golf. Also check the Microphone toggle on the Friends tab.
How do I mute, block or report someone?
Mute: on the Friends tab, choose the player to mute them for you only.
Block or report: choose Report / Block player on the Friends tab, or press the Meta button on your controller and choose Report, which opens the same panel. Pick the player, then Block or Report. Reports go to Meta's safety team; blocking uses Meta's own block tool, and players you've blocked are muted for you.
I'm in the wrong place, or facing the wrong way
Open the menu and choose Recenter in Settings, or press and hold the Meta button on your right controller. If your ball is waiting, Recenter puts you back at it.
How do I get back to the clubhouse or restart a hole?
Use the menu's Course tab: Restart hole, Ball to the tee, Next hole, Show scorecard or Back to the clubhouse.
The game shows a message and closes when I start it
The game checks that it was installed from the Meta Horizon Store with the Meta account signed in on your headset. Make sure you're signed in with that account, then open the game again from your Library. If it keeps happening, email us.
How do I delete my data?
Email us with the subject "Delete my data". The Privacy Policy explains what that covers.
